Connecting Communities Across New York
Birnie Transit, Inc., provides management and operating services for multiple public transportation systems throughout Central New York. These services are paid for through the Federal Transit Administration’s Formula Grants for Rural Areas Program (Section 5311) and the New York State Department of Transportation’s Statewide Mass Transportation Operating Assistance (STOA).
Covering counties including Onondaga, Oneida, Madison, Herkimer, Lowville, Madison, Otsego, Jefferson, Delaware, and Chenango, Birnie Bus provides ADA-compliant fixed route, route demand response, and route deviation/modification services to the general public.
